So I’m at the grocery store with my girl friend and we’re doing our normal weeks shopping, ya know with the whole cart full of stuff getting ready to put out about $100.00 for it. She’s got a pattern she follows around the store up and down each and every isle. Every time we make the turn at the top of the isle (by the front of the store where the cash registers are) I make a mental note as to how many lanes are open and about how many people are in each line. There are usually plenty of lanes open and they seem to be moving at a acceptable rate, that is until we’re done and ready to check out!!!! As usual when we come around the last isle and head for the check out line there is only one or two open lanes and 30 frigin people are all headed for them in a mad rush to bet us there!! So you kinda hang back and try and pick the one that’s gona move the fastest. So I get into one lane and the other lane is just whizzing along and ours is like getting longer some how. So you slide over into the fast moving one and everything is going along just fine. You’ve gotten over the feeling of hosing down everyone with the soda ya bought for cutting you off at the checkout lane and your down to just an old lady that’s ready to pay for her stuff and one other person with just a couple of items when the old lady has to put something back cause she doesn’t have enough money. Then after she decides what not to buy then and only then does she start looking for her checkbook and a pen and her ID and her glasses. DON”T YA JUST HATE THAT!!! I know now why they put magazines and candy and those little toys up there by the checkouts. It’s not for impulse buying it’s so you’ll have something to do and eat while your waiting in the lines for the idiots to get on with it! Stuff like that always happens to my girl friend and me. Shopping, going to the show, driving…..don’t get me started with driving!! I know I’m not the only one this kind of stuff happens to so lets hear from all the rest of you’s out there!! Ya know all that stuff that you say I JUST HATE WHEN THAN HAPPENS!!!
